Ben always has the honor of the black top hat - he is our unofficial mayor and master of ceremonies. But I may just dig out the groundhog stocking cap - it's a really doozie!!

I'd love if you broke out the costume this year, or at the very least a black top hat!

Thanks - it really irks me that people hide behind their screen name to say things they wouldn't likely say (or write) if everyone knew the source. Maybe someday there will be transparency on the web, but I'm not holding my breath...

Appreciate the comment.

I agree - it's scary, yet so easy to understand. Great reminder to take a giant step back and make sure you're not missing something that could really make or break your success!

I love this blog! There has to be something said for not seeing a GORILLA in the room. I would agree that companies and consumers are overloaded with information and it definitely makes you step back and think about how much the mind can possibly encode. This is a good reminder and example of the importance of making your brand meaningful to grab the attention of your audience.

Some recent data shows that Twitter is not being used by teens, which is not surprising. My guess is that they are completely satisfied with texting, which offers more privacy than Twitter. Absent a clear strategy, teens are defining Twitter's value on their own, and it doesn't appear to be worth much to them.

Great analysis of Twitter! I too hope they choose the path of information sharing tool. Also, here's a link to a great recap of a conference call about how to use social media, Twitter in particular - http://prtini.com/broganshankmanharocall/
